Performing Arts Talent Show Scheduled in Daytona Beach
Have a pre-teen or teen that likes to jam on the guitar? How about one
that wants to be the next Taylor Swift? Whether it's acting, singing or music, there's a Daytona Beach talent show they may just want to get in on!
There will be an annual performing arts talent competition held by SuperStars of Central Florida. The auditions will take place at the South Beach Dance Academy in Daytona Beach.
Student auditions are open to those ages 12-18 and will be held September 11, 2010 from Noon to 8:00 p.m. They may audition as a soloist or as an ensemble. The categories include voice, instrumental music, dance, and dramatic arts.
There are also adult auditions being held in Daytona Beach, for those 18 and up. They are held in the same categories as the student auditions, and will be held September 25, 2010 from noon to 8:00 p.m.

Teen Programs Offerd at Port Orange Library
Looking for some things for your teen to do to keep busy this month?
Check out the teen programs being offered at the Port Orange Library! These summer programs will take place at the Port Orange Library, in the auditorium.
July 16– Harry Potter Event
This will be held at 1:00 p.m.. The participants will make a "Death Eater Mask," as well as Harry Potter Scene It and eat snacks.
July 23 – Urban Art Class
This will also be held at 1:00 p.m. Participants will be doing graffiti art.
July 30 – End of Summer Reading Party
There will be a Guitar Hero tournament held, with 16 people able to participate. Those participating will need to read a book, magazine, newspaper or manual, to register. Others attending may watch the tournament, make crafts, and play Wii.

There will be a Children's Film Fest held at the Port Orange Library this
month.
Showtimes for each film will be at 11:00 a.m. and will be shown in the auditorium of the Port Orange Library. Those attending may bring their snacks or lunches along.
